OrganiMAXX Alpha Lipoic Acid+ 125 Capsules

OrganiMAXX Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) Capsules deliver 600mg of potent antioxidant support to combat oxidative stress, promote mitochondrial health, and enhance nerve repair. Ideal for both men and women, ALA also plays a key role in stabilizing blood sugar by improving glucose metabolism and enhancing insulin sensitivity. This helps prevent energy dips and spikes, keeping you energized and balanced throughout the day and is commonly used to support nerve health and comfort (including neuropathy contexts), joint comfort, and a balanced inflammatory response for everyday resilience.

Why Biotin & B1 matter with ALA: While ALA helps the body use carbohydrates more efficiently (supporting glucose metabolism and steady energy), higher doses can also increase the body’s use/breakdown of biotin. We include Biotin to offset that effect and help maintain normal biotin levels—supporting energy enzymes and the health of skin, hair, and nails. Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) complements ALA by improving carbohydrate-to-energy conversion, further promoting day-to-day vitality. The result is a smarter, more complete ALA with Biotin & B1 formula that stands apart from basic ALA-only products.

Alpha Lipoic Acid Benefits

Powerful Antioxidant Support
ALA is a unique antioxidant that works in both water- and fat-soluble environments, helping to neutralize free radicals throughout the entire body.

Supports Healthy Nerve Function
Commonly used to help manage symptoms of peripheral neuropathy, especially in people with diabetes, by protecting and repairing nerve cells.

Promotes Blood Sugar Balance
Enhances insulin sensitivity and helps regulate glucose metabolism, making it beneficial for those with insulin resistance or type 2 diabetes.

Supports Cellular Energy Production
Plays a vital role in mitochondrial function and the conversion of glucose into ATP (cellular energy), helping fight fatigue and improve stamina.

Regenerates Other Antioxidants
Helps recycle and restore the activity of other antioxidants like vitamins C and E, glutathione, and coenzyme Q10—amplifying overall antioxidant defense.

Supports Cognitive Health
May protect brain cells from oxidative stress and inflammation, supporting mental clarity, memory, and long-term brain health.

Reduces Inflammation
Helps downregulate inflammatory markers, which can aid in joint health, immune balance, and chronic condition support.

Protects Eye Health
Supports the health of the retina and may help reduce the risk of complications related to oxidative damage in the eyes.

Supports Liver Health and Detoxification
ALA contributes to detox processes and may protect the liver from toxins, alcohol, and drug-induced oxidative stress.

Promotes Healthy Skin Aging Helps maintain collagen and elasticity by combating skin-damaging free radicals, reducing signs of aging and improving overall skin tone.

The Science of Alpha Lipoic Acid Supplements

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is a small, vitamin-like antioxidant that your body makes in tiny amounts and you also get from foods like spinach and organ meats. What makes ALA unusual is that it’s both water- and fat-soluble, so it can work almost everywhere in the body—including inside the cell’s power plants, the mitochondria.

Inside mitochondria, ALA acts like a key helper for the enzymes that turn carbohydrates into usable energy (ATP). In particular, it supports enzyme systems such as pyruvate dehydrogenase, which is a central “gate” that moves fuel into the energy pathway. In everyday terms, ALA helps your cells run their energy factories smoothly—especially in high-demand tissues like the nerves, muscles, heart, and brain.

ALA is also a powerful antioxidant. Once inside cells, it can flip between two forms (ALA ⇄ DHLA). Together, this “redox pair” helps neutralize free radicals, protect delicate cell membranes, and recharge other antioxidants like vitamins C and E while supporting glutathione, one of the body’s main built-in defenses. Keeping this antioxidant network in balance is one reason ALA is used to support nerve comfort, joint recovery after activity, and a normal inflammatory environment.

Another reason people take ALA is metabolic support. By helping enzymes that process carbs and supporting normal insulin function, ALA assists with healthy glucose metabolism—which many notice as more even, day-to-day energy rather than spikes and dips.

Because ALA is both water- and fat-soluble, it’s absorbed best with a meal. After absorption, it circulates and reaches many tissues, including peripheral nerves and the skin, where steady antioxidant support is useful.

You’ll often see ALA paired with Biotin and Vitamin B1 (Thiamine)—and there’s good science behind that. Higher doses of ALA can increase the body’s use of biotin and they share an intestinal transporter, so adding biotin helps maintain normal biotin status while supporting enzymes involved in energy and in the health of skin, hair, and nails. Thiamine (B1) works hand-in-hand with ALA at the same energy “gate” (the pyruvate dehydrogenase step), helping convert carbohydrates into ATP efficiently. Together, ALA + Biotin + B1 make a practical trio for everyday energy metabolism and antioxidant defense.
